First up! What does a sneakerhead, a possible alien and a photography nut have in common? They the 3 new artists who have joined the Crowning Stroke family! Introducing Alexis, Sophication and Brenda, this trio of talented ladies are here to rock your aged perceptions of t-shirts with their awesome designs.
Rock out with Alexis’ Rock & Die and let your inner rebel scream out loud. Someone’s giving you a difficult time? Take Sophication’s approach and get snarky: give them the elaborate eyeroll! Wear your love for photography proudly on your chest with Brenda’s Click*.
Not forgetting our very own Yang Ge, who has once again brought joy into our mundane lives with her refreshing perception of ‘beginnings’ in her new design, Test, Mess, Digress. For all of the lucky ones who caught her ‘live’ last Sunday at Twilight Galaxy, you should agree she’s one heck of a multi-talented lady!
Continue watching this space for new updates, results of STYLES will be up pretty soon! What’s there not to love about new designs eh?
After a long hiatus (it’s been a really busy period!), we’re back to share with you a small little discovery.
The words ‘we’ll find out more…AFTER the break…’ has been made famous by Ryan Seacrest on American Idol every single painstaking results show week. So we’re curious…just what kind of commercial break personality are you? (a) Ah! Time for a quick relief before the show starts! (b) Mmmm…how about a refill of the cracker bowl? I wonder what else is in the fridge (c) SMS SMS SMS SMS SMS. Well, i guess all of us are guilty of being any one of the above.
But for those of you who HAVE been paying attention to tv commercials, you might have caught a glimpse of one of our Crowning Stroke tees on tv with it’s 3 seconds of fame! :) Congratulations to our artist Tony Chew, whose tee ”Propaganda Is The Message” made it to national tv! Check out the cool printscreens below…
A scene from the nationwide no smoking campaign.
Woo Hoo! All hail commercial breaks!

Earlier this month, Crowning Stroke was approached by a few final year Republic Polytechnic students to be part of a good cause - Project “From Left to Right“, in hopes to raise public awareness for the Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD) through the medium of Art.
In conjuction with *Scape Youth Park, Moxie Production (formed up by a group of final year Republic Polytechnic students) proudly presents an exhibition showcasing 20 pairs of shoes designed by 7 talented residents from the Red Cross Home for the Disabled. These shoes are conceptualised and designed by the 7 residents, all these in support of Moxie Production’s cause; where handicapped individuals showcase the ability to achieve a lifestyle similiar to that of the able bodied.
This exhibition aims to create and foster awareness for the Red Cross Home for the Disabled among youths of today. By exhibiting the Artworks at *Scape (The Lab), Moxie Production hopes to encourage youths to be more persipcacious to the less fortunate with *Scape as a medium!
As part of the exhibition, a few Crowning Stroke artists are proud to be contributing hand-customized shoes which will be displayed alongside works by the children from RCHD. These shoes will be donated to RCHD.
The exhibition opens on Saturday (3rd Jan 2009) and closes on Sunday (29th March) with a reception for public on Saturday (3rd Jan 2009) . Gallery is opened from 10am to 10pm daily.
So do bring a friend along and come be part of this charitable event! We would love to see you there!
